Dr. Amie McCarthy

I grew up in Hawaii and attended Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

In 2023, after many years of working mixed animal mobile medicine, I made the move to Vancouver Island.

Senior pets hold a special place in my heart. My best friend, Albert, an elderly Shar Pei mix street dog, showed me just how meaningful those later years can be.

The love I had for Albert is something I carry into every appointment. I ensure during your pet's final moments they are treated with the same dignity, comfort, and love that I was able to give to Albert.

At home, I share my life with my husband, Carl, and our three dogs—Walter, Tootsie, and Bradley (pictured)—who remind me daily why this work matters so much.
